Kiwi is an out of school club that not only encourages learning opportunities for the children at Old Hall Drive Academy but aims to develop both the social skills and self esteem of the children.
Every eight weeks, six lucky children are carefully chosen to take part. They meet together to plan and organise five trips to exciting and interesting places.
Each trip takes place on a Saturday morning and one evening after school.
At the end of the fun packed eight weeks the children will have developed lifelong friendships, life skills and most importantly have had lots of fun along the way.
The children are given a budget and they must work together as a team to decide which places they would like to visit and how much each trip will cost. Mrs Higgins and Mrs Howard are always there to help and guide them along the way.
Finally the children share all their adventures with the rest of the school at an end of Kiwi celebratory assembly.
