On Friday 9th November, the School Council attended the Remembrance Day Service at Gorton Cemetery.
There were lots of other schools there and members of the public who had come to pay their respects to those who had lost their lives in wars and to remember the soldiers still fighting today.
The band from Wright Robinson High School played the Last Post and special hymns whilst we all sang.
Old Hall Drive Academy took a poppy wreath from all the children and Staff at our school. Ellie and Anthony laid this on the Wall of Remembrance after we had observed the two minutes silence at 11.00 am.
It was a very special experience for all of us to be a part of, especially as we remember the 100 year anniversary since the end of World War 1.
