Family dining
Lunchtime is a time for our children to interact with one another and to enjoy a sociable lunch.
In line with our R.E.S.P.E.C.T. curriculum, it is important to us that our children are taught good table manners and encouraged to try different foods. Lunchtime should be an enjoyable time for our pupils.
Our school lunches are prepared and cooked from fresh produce on the premises everyday. We are committed to encouraging healthy eating.
At Old Hall Drive Academy, the cost of school lunches is £11.25 per week. Universal Free School Meals were introduced in September 2014. Pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 classes are now entitled to a free school lunch. Anyone who is entitled to free school meals MUST still apply for them as the Government is only paying for meals where there isn’t an entitlement to free school meals.
Parents can select and pay for school dinners through the Arbor app. Your child can choose a main meal and a dessert that will be served to their table by one of their ‘lunchtime family’ members.
